Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to the FCPD Department motor pool as a Metropolitan division officer with a rank of Captain or above.
  2. Spawn the 2025 Ford Explorer Unmarked and sit in the driver's seat.
  3. Open the Smart Controller panel and slide the ELS control from OFF to 1 (Observe: Back traffic advisors stay off, headlights/backlights flicker).
  4. Slide the ELS control from 1 to 2, then from 2 to 3 (Observe: ELS completely fails to advance to still lights or full emergency patterns).
  5. Press keybind K (Observe: Rear traffic advisors remain entirely dark; no exterior lighting activates).

Explanation

On June 9th, 2026, after 12:00 PM EST, a function in the emergency lighting system (ELS) was discovered to be buggy in the FCPD department motor pool. The entire Smart Controller panel and vehicle lighting breaks when activated, using a vehicle borrowed from the rank of Captain and above (2025 Ford Explorer Unmarked) while operating within the Metropolitan division protocols.

When the driver is sitting in the driver's seat and trying to use the Smart Controller panel, if the driver pushes the ELS control from "OFF" to the stage "1", the back traffic advisors will be completely turned off and the main headlights and back lights will flash on and off instead of maintaining a pattern. Also, pushing the slider from stage 1 to stage 2, and then pushing the slider again from stage 2 to stage 3 makes absolutely no difference. The ELS does not progress to the lights or all lights to emergency modes. Lastly, pressing the main key bind “K” to manually engage the rear traffic advisor light does not do anything, the lights remain completely dark and no lights illuminate throughout the exterior of the car.
