Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to the FCPD Department motor pool as a Metropolitan division officer with a rank of Captain or above.
  2. Spawn the 2022 Ford Explorer Unmarked and sit in the driver's seat.
  3. Open the Smart Controller panel and slide the ELS control from OFF to 1 (Observe: Back traffic advisors stay off, headlights/backlights flicker).
  4. Slide the ELS control from 1 to 2, then from 2 to 3 (Observe: ELS completely fails to advance to still lights or full emergency patterns).
  5. Press keybind K (Observe: Rear traffic advisors remain entirely dark; no exterior lighting activates).

Explanation

ELS bug happens in the FCPD Department Motor Pool. on June 9th. The entire Smart Controller panel and vehicle lighting breaks once activated when operating inside of the Metropolitan division and with a vehicle from the rank of Captain and up, the 2022 Ford Explorer Unmarked. This model, like its newer version, has the exact same issues in 2025.

If the ELS control is slid from OFF to stage 1 while sitting in the driver's seat and trying to use the Smart Controller panel, the back traffic advisors stay completely off, and the main headlights and backlights flash on and off. And then pushing the slider from stage 1 to stage 2, stage 2 to stage 3, still has no effect whatsoever. The ELS doesn't progress to still lights nor all the emergency flashing modes. Last of all, pressing the main key binding "K" to turn the rear traffic advisor lights on manually does nothing; the lights remain entirely dark and no lights except on trigger anywhere on the exterior of the vehicle.
