Explanation
When me and a friend fought an Expenite Experiment Bulk Detonator, it exploded near the elevator. The elevator event had not started, but we heard the audio warning that the elevator mechanism had been damaged repeatedly until we started the elevator event. Once we started the elevator, there was no damage to the mechanism.
