Escape Menu Not Working After Respawning Character

Steps to Reproduce

1. Fall into the pit
2. Press escape
3. Respawn player
4. Hit escape to close menu (it won't work)
5. Switch between tabs on the menu to make escape functional again

Explanation

When I fall into the pit, and I respawn my character, the scape function to close the menu doesnt work. It will work only if I swap betweens tabs.
