Input Delay Anomaly After Opening and Closing Match Details Screen
| Status: | Open |
| Priority: |
High |
| Added by: | Anonymous on October 30, '26 |
| Assigned to: |
Unassigned
|
| Due date: | |
| Reported for: | |
| Actual Result: |
The skill check input registers earlier, often resulting in missed skill checks if attempting a great skill check
|
| Expected Result: |
The skill check should be the same timing regardless of prior menuing
|
| Severity: |
Unknown
|
| Reproducibility: |
Always
|
| Platform: |
Playstation 5
|
| Additional Notes & Comments: |
Marked as "unknown" due to not knowing the exact wider implications of the issue. Video evidence can be provided upon request, though I don't know what good it would do without an input display capture, which I don't have access to. Controller used is a DualSense Edge. Interactions bound to Circle, Skill Check bound to L1.

Steps to Reproduce
- Start a repair/healing interaction with toggle interactions enabled
- Wait for a skill check to appear, try to hit a great skill check
- Open the match details screen, then close it
- Wait for a skill check to appear, try to hit a great skill check with the same timing
Explanation
Skill check input delay changes when opening & closing the Match Details screen on console, resulting in noticeably less delay moments after closing the screen. It also seems like it might have an effect on other inputs, such as player movement (E: the game also stutters ~5 seconds afterward, see comments & videos). My hypotheses is that it either has something to do with the forced V-sync on console, there's some sort of memory leak going on with the UI that resolves when opening the match details screen, or some other kind of cache refresh happens when opening/closing the match details screen.
