Status: Open
Priority:
Critical
Added by: Anonymous on October 29, '26
Assigned to:
Unassigned
Due date:
Reported for:
Actual Result:
Switching between the mouse and the controller to move the character or the camera introduces a delay of a few seconds every single time
Expected Result:
They should both be able to be used at the same time. I want to control my camera with my mouse while using my left stick to move my character. I was able to play that way for years.
Severity:
Blocker
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:
Not set

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play with both a controller and a mouse and keyboard
  2. Use either the sticks to move, or to move the camera, or try moving the camera with the mouse
  3. Switch to the other control scheme, or try using both at the same time.
  4. There is a delay of a few seconds between the sticks and the mouse working when using the other control scheme, and using both at the same time is completely impossible.

Explanation

Switching from mouse to controller or from controller to mouse is delayed. I often use a hybrid control scheme due to chronic pain, so this is an accessibility issue. Being able to use my controller and my mouse at the same time allows me to play the game when I otherwise couldn't. This used to work very reliably for years, and randomly stopped working today. I have tried on two different computers, on Epic, Windows Store and Steam and the same thing happens on all 3 platforms and on both of my computers. This started with patch 10.2.2A, it was not happening before. It is now completely impossible to use the mouse and the left joystick at the same time, which used to be something I did all the time. This issue is also present in the 10.3.0 PTB
