Additional Notes & Comments:
This is directly related to games I've played recently and submitted reports for.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play the game.
  2. Be a good support.
  3. Max out your altruism categories.
  4. Do not take chase because you're not good at it.

Explanation

I was told by the Reddit team to come here for suggestions so here I am.

It appears to me that a lot of the toxicity in the game is related to a lack of information in the post-game lobby. Simple things like "number of unhook attempts", "time in chase", "time on gens", etc. Bloodpoint counts only tell you so much, we don't even get to see which categories a player focused on.

At the very least, the screen showing the category-specific bloodpoint counts should be shown in the post game lobby instead of total BP. And further, it should show bloodpoints that WOULD have been accumulated if there wasn't a 10k cap on each category. Some players spend all game unhooking, healing and repairing gens and none in chase, and toxic players take this to mean "they didn't do anything" when that's just categorically false.

If there were a way to show just how much each player actually contributed to the team, it would go miles toward reducing the toxicity in the game because someone couldn't say "you just hid in lockers all game" when they were actually unhooking people, booning, taking out hexes, etc.

I know the simplest way to deal with this is to just turn off in game chat, but it is a partially social game, so that shouldn't be the be all end all solution in your game. And I mean this in the best way possible, your reporting system is atrocious at dealing with toxic players, players that work with the killer and afkers. Something needs to be done, and I feel that this is a healthy first step.
