Explanation
Game has a big performance issue. I am completely sure that it isn't a fault of my hardware nor OS I am using, since the game can hit 60 FPS without any issue, my system requirement meet those put in the Dead by Daylight's Steam Store page description (Linux is an exception) and most of resource intensive games also run smoothly on my PC (ex: GTA5, Watch Dogs 1/2)
When I am in the middle of the match it always starts smoothly at ~50% GPU usage, however after some delay the game starts to use ~99% of my GPU causing FPS drops, then goes back to normal at ~50% GPU usage and then cycle repeats until match comes to an end. There's a small chance that I will get a match in which my framerate is constantly smooth with occasional stutters with little to no impact on the experience.
That results in unbearable and frequent FPS drops. This makes the game not only unjoyable but also unfair since skill checks are almost impossible to hit which often free-reveals my position to the killer, makes struggling and running away from the killer very difficult.
I would also like to note that I've tried Epic Games version (via Heroic Launcher) first claimed for free long some time ago before purchasing the Steam version and the game was always running smoothly, however the was a 50% chance the game will crash mid-match.
I am constanly making sure that my NVIDIA drivers are up to date, and if certain update makes the performance worse I downgrade it until the issue is fixed.
Here's a gameplay video provided to let you see what do I mean. The video has been uploaded to youtube due to attachment size limit (100MB):

System Specifications:
- OS: Arch Linux x86_64
- CPU: Intel i5-10300H 4.50 GHz
- GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1650
- RAM: 8GB
I am reporting that issue here since, I suspect that it is some kind of bug that might cause leaks in the code. If it is I don't blame you, since C++ is garbage language to deal with in my personal opinion (you wrote it in the Unreal Engine). However I hope you will fix it soon, cause I really like your game and would love to play more. Have nice day to whoever is reading this <3
