The Pig - Ambush Dash First Person Animation Incorrect (also third person?)

Status: Open
Priority:
Medium
Added by: Anonymous on September 9, '26
Assigned to:
Unassigned
Due date:
Reported for:
Actual Result:
The normal M1 lunge animation plays during an Ambush Dash instead of an Ambush style animation that we are used to, and the Successful Hit animation is also incorrect - it too is the M1 lunge hit cooldown.
Expected Result:
The Ambush Dash attack animation has always been different to the M1 lunge animation, and it has always had a seperate Successfull Hit cooldown animation also.
Severity:
Major
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:
I reported the incorrect hit cooldown animation for Ambush seperately here:https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/7068

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load into a match as The Pig
  2. Charge an Ambush Dash attack
  3. Complete the full Ambush Dash attack animation without hitting something
  4. Observe that the animation is the same as M1 lunge

Explanation

The Pig has the wrong first person animation for Ambush Dash. I was hesitant to report this as a bug because I was thinking that any changes to ambush must be intentional, since the third person (survivor pov) animations for the ambush have definitely been changed a little on purpose. I assumed the first person view of Ambush in 10.1.2 is intentional - until someone pointed out that it basically matches the M1 lunge, its just in slow motion. Now I'm not so sure so I am reporting this as a bug, I think its possible that the incorrect animation is playing for the Ambush Dash in first person and that might also be why the incorrect Successful Hit animation is playing as-well, which I reported as a separate bug.
