Steps to Reproduce
- Apply Trail of Torment by kicking a generator.
- Apply a generator-blocking perk (Dead Man's Switch, Thrilling Tremors, No Holds Barred, etc.) to the affected generator.
- Observe that Trail of Torment does not resume after gen-blocking perk is finished - despite description stating Undetectable is active "until the Generator stops regressing."
Explanation
Perk-breaking bug: Trail of Torment now turns off once affected generator is blocked, and stays off after generator is unblocked.
Recent patch 9.4.2 does state "Fixed an issue where Killers kept the Undetectable status effect from Trail of Torment if the generator became blocked by any means." - however, Undetectable does not resume once the generator is unblocked, which I assume is a bug. This breaks the functionality of the perk and grants a large disadvantage for multiple reasons:
1 - This procs the 30-second cooldown, in which the killer needs to wait out to enable Unforeseen again.
2 - If the targeted generator is not repaired by survivors to stop the regression, the killer is unable to reapply Trail of Torment to the targeted generator.
Perk description states that Undetectable status effect is active "until Generator stops regressing." - thus, if the intended behavior of Trail of Torment is to stop working while generator is blocked, the Undetectable status effect should return once Generator resumes regressing. Conversely - survivor perk Rookie Spirit similarly states "The auras of any regressing Generators are revealed to you until they stop regressing by any means." Like Trail of Torment, this perk is disabled when a generator is blocked, but then reactivates once the generator is unblocked.
There isn't a reason a player should be punished for using perk synergy, especially when slowdown perks are a near-requirement against good survivor players. Trail of Torment becomes functionally useless after the 9.4.2 update.
