Bug #1650
Ghost Face Reveal Sound Continues Despite Being Behind Cover
| Status: | Duplicate |

| Reported for: | |
| Actual Result: |
Even after breaking line of sight and hiding behind cover, Ghost Face is still revealed by the survivor as if they still had vision on him.
|
| Expected Result: |
When Ghost Face breaks line of sight with a survivor while in Night Shroud, he should not be revealed if the survivor can no longer see him.
|
| Severity: |
Major
|
| Reproducibility: |
Always
|
| Platform: |
Steam
|
| Additional Notes & Comments: |
The issue seems to occur when a survivor begins revealing Ghost Face and he breaks line of sight just before the reveal completes. Despite being fully behind cover, the reveal still finishes. This makes Night Shroud feel unreliable during chases.
|
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch Dead by Daylight
- Select Ghost Face as killer
- Load into a match with survivors
- Activate night shroud
- Allow a survivor to look at Ghost Face and begin revealing
- Move behind a solid object, such as a wall or structure at the last second to break line of sight.
- Listen for the reveal sound effect
- Observe that Ghost Face still becomes revealed after moving behind cover
Explanation
When playing as Ghost Face, a survivor can still reveal me when I quickly move behind a wall or an object. When the reveal begins, I immediately move behind a wall or an object to break line of sight. Despite being completely behind an object and no longer visible to a survivor, the reveal sound continues playing, and often reveals me.
The reveal appears to continue for a short moment after reaching cover.
