Explanation

Hello Devs :),
I love the game! Tutorial is great, and I like the charme, artstyle, smoothness and design of the game, thank you so much for releasing such a beautiful experience :).
I have roughly 4.5h by now and am taking my time with building tileable structures even at lower machine levels, though I didn't unlock blueprinting yet.

Topic:
I would like to submit a list of features that I would like to see in the game. Since this is not a bug i would like to keep this as a single ticket. (maybe add a "feedback" radiobutton to the "Is this a game-breaking bug, or does the game crash?" question below)

Resumé:
I have experience with modded and unmodded- factorio, satisfactory, dyson sphere program, industries of titan and some other factory games and generally enjoy the multilevel optimisation and modularisation aspects, which is why your game is great for me :).

List of features by topic:

World interaction:

  • cut and paste option next to the copy and paste option e.g. ctrl+x option to avoid pasting objects as storage.
  • support for control + shift and /or alt + key --> more complex keybinds
  • Factorio style alt mode or similar indicator of output without hovering over facilities --> you already have this for buildings :)
  • I love the efficiency view, just such a nice visualization and breakdown! Here I know that a "belt visualizer" might be very fun and helpful in tracking material flows if it is an on click thing (for reference: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/belt-visualizer for reference) or a toggle like was used in pipe visualizer (where colouring could be determined by network, medium or connection) (for reference: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PipeVisualizer-Updated).

Camera:

  • FOV controls
  • 2D view for planning or much better for your game: controls to set camera perspectives to iso and one that snaps to the closest grid aligned top down view / top down view with controls to rotate 90°

Research Tree:

  • multiselect filter for required datacubes --> allows reduction of tree size to currently researchabeoptions.
  • Give an option to unlock blueprints from the start instead of unlocking them.
  • Zoomlevel in research tree or rather relative distance of nodes in comparison to the icon size is a bit iffy and it is a bit hard to orient oneself without hovering over the technologies.

Thank you for reading these many suggestions! I hope I made clear that the game is fantastic and I love the unique style! I can only borrow on the concepts that I have seen in other games and do not want your game to become exaclty like them but much rather am excited to add these conecpts that I enjoyed to your creative process and development. I am excited to see, what they inspire you to do.

Thank you and all the Best :)
