Steps to Reproduce
- Start a Deep Dive or Elite Deep Dive with 2 or more players.
- Have at least 1 player die and stay dead (let IW's duration end) in Stage 1 or Stage 2.
- Successfully end that mission leaving a dwarf behind.
- End mission screen shows correct information at end of the Stage.
- Finish the next mission more skillfully by leaving no one behind.
- The end of this stage however shows an additional death for the dead players in Step 2.
Explanation
Deep Dives have incorrectly counted deaths between missions by just checking end game screens and paying attention to literal downs when dwarves were left behind in Stage 1 and Stage 2. This has existed for at least 2 years, and only recently did someone bother me about it.
If you are downed at the end of Stage 1 or Stage 2 you receive an extra death, but it only updates visibly on the next stages end screen (Stage 2, or Stage 3s).

I don't have video evidence of it, but I have also experienced it when not speedrunning or pod clipping.
