The "Veteran" Standard

Many players found this layout difficult because it required using the same stick for altitude and rotation. To fix this, most serious pilots switched to "Alternate" buttons and "Legacy" sticks:

Triggers (L2/R2 or LT/RT): Moved Throttle here for constant power control.
Left grip trigger - throttle down (reverse)
Right grip trigger - throttle up
(gas)

Left Joystick: Handled Roll, allowing for more natural banking.

Right Joystick: Handled Pitch and Yaw, turning the stick into a precise aiming tool
