Fan-Made Maps

Breachers is an amazing foundation of a game. But the implementation of new maps has been slow, and the only 2 maps the community really likes are Hideout and Factory. These are the only maps that people vote for in the pre-lobby.

I get it - making maps is a lot of work! Why not let the community do it for you? If you implement a system for people to make or import maps, the community will immediately massively expand your map pool, taking from games like CS, Siege, and Halo, and making their own additions as well. They might even make tweaks to existing maps which make them more popular.

Obviously yhe big limitation is VR, specifically standalone users. But just implement a good system for people to test the maps on test servers first, and once they are vetted they can be approved by the devs as an official community map. Many games like Halo and CS have similar workflows.

The same feedback applies to Forefront. Triangle Factory is amazing at making some of the best shooting game mechanics in VR. Where TF falls flat is slowly releasing maps where most are imbalanced and disliked by the community. A great example is Contractors - the maps mafe by the devs s***! But they allowed community maps, and it remains one of the most fun VR shooters in spite of its lackluster shooting mechanics.

If TF embraces the philosophy of community maps and combines it with their skill at building game mechanics, TF will really solidify their position as the premier VR shooter company.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk!
