Adjusted Building Repair Costs and Increased Efficiency in Clearing Obstacles

I believe a lot of similar posts get made about building repair costs being way too high, and it’s pretty discouraging to see it doesn’t really get taken into account.

Game progression a lot of the time relies on things getting more costly the further in you are, but in exchange, it gets easier for you to obtain those resources. Farm Merge Valley has this trait with crops/animals (the higher tier crate drops) and earning money (ingredients, recipes, and shops).

Obstacle clearing, however, has no such increase in efficiency as you progress. The only F2P upgrade available is the worker rental, which players can likely afford after they finish purchasing their final premium land, but that’s not particularly substantial when seeing how absurdly high building costs are. I still haven’t unlocked the Barista at level 45, which is discouraging because I found it a month ago. After that, it only gets harder, and you still gain no substantial increase in the rate at which you gather building materials. A lot of people quit at the Avocado Fiesta. I’m planning to quit much earlier.

Obviously, you don’t want players to run out of things to do (and you need people to shell out money on a premium subscription), but the game needs to feel rewarding. Adding reasonable upgrades to clearing obstacles/gaining building materials will mitigate this.

Something like gaining more workers as you hit certain level milestones and/or increasing the energy cap are some of the throwaway ideas I had, and I’m sure the dev team would have better ones.

This feedback is made in good faith, because I’d like to keep playing the game without feeling like none of the playtime I put in is rewarding. If anyone took the time out of their day to read this, thank you! And if you have any critique/feedback for the post, that’s welcome as well.
