Open carry on LEO is restricted and enforced by supervisors and SBI, meaning we are already at a disadvantage against criminals who are wielding rifles and even heavy weapons. Headshots are already a pain in the rear, so having the ability to have just a little bit of protection to improve our odds would be great.
